The 41st annual Ornament in the Lisle Heritage Society's collectible series features one of the Lisle founders, Joseph Yackley, who was born in Alsace, France in 1828 and later moved to the Lisle area in 1845 to become a brewer and farmer.

The Lisle Heritage Society is partnering with the Lisle Park District to present "Once Upon a Christmas" on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be welcoming families in the Depot Museum.

Children will be able to make a Christmas craft in the Beaubien Tavern.

The large model railroad will be running in the Netzley/Yender House.

Blacksmiths will be busy at the forge in the barn.

The 41st annual Heritage Ornament -- and other choice gift items -- will be on sale.

This year's ornament is a "series within the series."

Eleven men and women from the 19th century important to Lisle's history are featured.

"Once Upon a Christmas" will be 4 to 8 p.m. at Museums at Lisle Station Park, 921 School St., Lisle. Admission is free.
